Asbjørn has 30 years of experience from the oil and gas industry, holding a Master of Science from the University in Trondheim (NTNU). Extensive experience from Drilling & Well in Statoil (Hydro), both onshore and offshore. Proven analytical skills with background from Research, Drilling Engineer, Drilling Supervisor, and Operational Advisor for all Hydro’s domestic and international operations. 9 years as drilling Superintendent for fixed and floating production platforms.

- Senior Drilling Advisor VTC
- Drilling Superintended Brage, Visund and Oseberg B.
- Operational Advisor Hydro’s operations in Iran and Houston
- Drilling Supervisor Oseberg platforms
- Lead drilling engineer Oseberg (periodes as drilling supervisor)
- Drilling engineer offshore (Oseberg B, 14/14 schedule)
- Drilling engineer Troll- and Oseberg fields
- Cement specialist in Hydro’s Drilling department.
- Hydro’s research centre in Bergen, dept of Cement and mud
