Øystein has been Project Director for the North Sea Rigs as rig construction program for the last 7 years, following the successful delivery of Deepsea Yantai. Prior to that, 38 years’ experience from the oil & gas Industry, of which 20 years in corporate management with business development in Kværner and Grenland Group of large scale EPCI projects (FPSO) and 10 years with design and operations of semi-submersibles and jack-ups. Relevant companies like Stena Drilling and Moss Maritime (Dyvi Offshore), Project Manager for COSL Drilling Europe project; “COSL Promoter” yard stay in Norway, preparing for operations for Statoil. More than 13 years’ experience from working with Chinese yards and engineering companies.

- Project Director for the Design and Construction of the North Dragon , Deepsea Yantai and Beacon Pacific.
- Project Manager for COSL Promoter Yard Stay in Norway preparation for operation after yard delivery
- Senior Vice President Grenland Group Sales and Marketing
- Owning Partner and Vice President Real Concept Group, Field Development Studies
- Vice President, International Field Development in Kværner Oil Gas, West Africa Strategy
- Technical Manager, Kværner Floating Production, Leased FPSO
- Design Engineer Jack-up Conversions and Semi-submersible preparations for NCS.
