Steinar has worked in the oil and gas industry from 1990. He has experience, both onshore and offshore, with project management, drilling unit design, construction, maintains work on offshore platforms and drilling operations. He has been department manager for RDS Norway (KCAD engineering department) with responsibility for all projects. He has been electrical contractor in Transocean Drilling and Procon Drilling Services with responsibility for electrical systems in drilling area on GFA, B, C, Snorre, Valhall, Heidrun and Troll A.
Experience from the following rigs/projects:
- Department manager RDS Norway
- Project responsible for EPCI drilling upgrade projects on Oseberg C, Brage, Gullfaks A, Gullfaks B.
- Project manager for Concept studies and FEED studies on Njord Drilling upgrade, Oseberg East standalone drilling and Upgrade of drilling facilities on Brage.
- Project manager for upgrades of drilling facilities on platforms and rigs in the North Sea
- Senior Engineer in B&B RIG Statoil and Project manager for modifications in drilling area on Statfjord A, B, C, GFA, B and C.
- Department manager for Transocean Drilling M&M contract on Heidrun.
- Onshore Maintains manager Hydro field contract for Procon Drilling Services with overall responsibility for maintenance on OSB, OSC, OSE, OSS, Barge and Njord.
- Maintenance manager offshore on GFC
- Electrician in drilling area on GFA, B, and C.
